Ambassador Program
2020 - 2021

For the past three years, YLL has dedicated itself to being more than just a law conference. We are a non-profit organization that takes a career-oriented approach to legal awareness, inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm for this fascinating field. Through our Ambassador program, we hope to extend our vision through community representatives, sparking the next wave of youth leaders in law!

YLL is looking for passionate youth looking to work alongside an extensive network of executives and lawyers. Apply to heighten your possibilities and make your mark in our community!

Requirements/Preferences/Expectations:

​

• Must be either currently a high school student or going into high school. 

• Resides in any of the following regions: 

  • Calgary, AB​

  • Edmonton, AB

  • Toronto, ON

  • Ottawa, ON

  • Vancouver, BC

• Selected individuals must have a strong understanding of the brand’s mandates, goals, and developments.

• Understand how to use and market on social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Advertising

As an ambassador, you are one of YLL's primary forms of outreach, meaning that you will act as the primary form of relaying information and promotional material.

 

• Assist in promoting the conference and organization using promotional materials provided by the marketing team

• Working closely with the marketing and outreach team to develop promotional and marketing initiatives through  

  • Planning awareness programs, campaigns, etc. and leading such initiatives on the day to reach new clients, potential attendees, and others.

  • Schedule public branding opportunities

• Promoting on social media

  • Advertise noteworthy developments of the conference on social media 

  • Create original content on social media to drive brand awareness and diversify the advertising material that YLL currently has available​

  • Educate those curious, whether it be organizations or individuals that are considering working with YLL or those that are planning on attending the conference, about our organization should they be contacted on such platforms

Interaction and Representation

As an ambassador, we hope that you have the same values as YLL and that you advocate for them! Interact with the organization, our relational figures, and our audience!

 

• Again, it is expected that the ambassador not only understands YLL’s mandates but embodies and represents those values as well

• Volunteers for the organization at public outings, such as during:

  • Workshops

  • Seminars

  • When contacted by figures that are willing to collaborate with YLL

  • Any other event where it is relevant to represent the conference

• Should be able to consistently interact with attendees and business relations to answer questions and gain feedback
